What's new in Apex ATS: summer 2026 release notes

Everything that shipped between June and August 2026: inbox improvements, multi-location posting, new analytics, integrations and a long list of small fixes.

Summer was a busy stretch. Most of what shipped came directly from support tickets and customer calls, which is how we prefer it. Below is the full list for June through August 2026, grouped by area, with a note on who each change is for. If you have a request that is not here, management@apexsales.ai goes to people who read it.

Messaging and the shared inbox

The team inbox got the most attention this quarter. The goal was to make a busy inbox with three recruiters and 200 active threads feel calm, and to make sure nothing gets answered twice or not at all.

  • Assignment and claim: a thread can be assigned to a teammate or claimed with one click, and everyone sees who owns it. Two people typing in the same thread now see each other.
  • Snooze: park a thread until a date, or until the candidate replies, whichever comes first.
  • Bulk send by stage with per-recipient preview: before a batch goes out, you can page through exactly what each candidate will receive with merge fields filled in.
  • Quiet hours: set a window per location so scheduled and bulk messages hold until morning in the candidate's time zone.
  • Template variables for interviewer name, location address and next stage name, so confirmation templates no longer need editing per role.
  • Thread summaries for long conversations, generated on request, shown at the top of the thread.

Scheduling

  • Group availability: a scheduling link can draw from several interviewers' calendars and offer only the slots where the required people are all free.
  • Reschedule links in every reminder by default, with a per-template switch to turn them off.
  • No-show marking from the interviewer's calendar event, which triggers the rebook message automatically if you have one configured.
  • Buffer time between interviews, set per interviewer, so back-to-back bookings stop happening.

Multi-location and posting

For groups running many locations, this quarter's changes are mostly about doing something once and having it apply everywhere it should.

  • Post to multiple locations from one job template: pick the locations, set local pay within the band, and one click sends each posting to the connected job boards and social pages.
  • Location-scoped inbox views and reports for district and regional roles, with an 'all locations' toggle for central teams.
  • Franchisee entities: separate employer records, separate integrations, walled candidate data, aggregate reporting for the brand.
  • Nearby-location consent on the application form, so candidates can opt in to being considered by other locations within a set distance.

Analytics

  • Application funnel by device: starts and completions split by mobile and desktop, per posting.
  • Vacancy cost: enter an estimated daily cost per role and the open requisitions report shows accumulated cost alongside days open.
  • Source effectiveness now follows hires through to 90 day retention when an HRIS or payroll integration is connected.
  • No-show rate by role, interviewer and lead time.
  • One page summary export, built for the monthly finance meeting, with stable metric definitions documented on the page.

Parsing, ranking and integrations

  • Resume parsing handles photographed paper resumes and two column layouts noticeably better. Dates in non-US formats are now recognized.
  • Requirement matching explanations are shorter and lead with the missing must-haves.
  • Duplicate detection at application time, with the evidence shown and a one click merge.
  • New background check providers: two additional vendors connected, with status shown on the candidate record and the pipeline card.
  • HRIS sync: hired candidates push to the connected HRIS with location, manager and start date, and a sync log shows what went across and when.
  • Payroll: new hire records can be created directly in two more payroll platforms from the offer accepted stage.

Small fixes people asked for

  1. 01Pipeline cards show the last message date and who sent it.
  2. 02Keyboard shortcuts in the inbox: J and K to move between threads, R to reply, S to snooze.
  3. 03Attachments in SMS threads display inline instead of as a link.
  4. 04Bulk stage moves now ask for confirmation when moving more than 25 candidates.
  5. 05Exports respect the filters on screen rather than exporting everything.
  6. 06Faster load times on pipelines with more than 500 candidates.

What is next: this autumn we are working on offer letter generation with e-signature, a candidate-facing status page, and deeper reporting for agency and RPO customers who work across several client accounts. As always, the roadmap bends toward what customers tell us is slowing them down. Thanks to everyone who filed a ticket, joined a call, or sent a screenshot with a red circle on it. Most of the items above started that way.
