Post your first job

Create a job, review its details and publish it to the verified careers page. External job-board distribution requires separate board approval.

Steps

  1. 1Go to Jobs and choose New job.
  2. 2Fill in the title, department, location, employment type and any approved salary range. Do not include compensation or employment terms that the employer has not approved.
  3. 3Write the description. Plain paragraphs and short bullet lists read best on phones, which is where most applicants are.
  4. 4Add must-have keywords (skills or credentials a candidate cannot do without) and nice-to-have keywords (things that make a candidate stronger).
  5. 5Add screening questions. Mark a question as a knockout and set the expected answer if a wrong answer should sink the applicant.
  6. 6Save as draft for review. Publish to the workspace careers page only after the employer approves the job and application route.

A job record holds the approved posting details and applications for review. Recruiters remain responsible for evaluating candidates and making hiring decisions.

Choosing keywords

  • Use the words a candidate would actually write on a resume: CDL-A, RN, ServSafe, forklift, QuickBooks.
  • Add common variants as separate keywords (Registered Nurse and RN). Matching is case-insensitive and whole-word.
  • Keep must-haves short. Three to six is typical. Everything else is a nice-to-have.

Job status

Draft jobs are private. Open jobs accept applications subject to the workspace's written terms. Paused jobs stay visible to the team but are excluded from the Apex careers page and feed. Closed jobs keep their applicants and history and can be reopened.
