Notes and scorecards

Leave a note on any applicant record, or fill a scorecard with a 1 to 5 rating after an interview. Both are visible to the whole hiring team.

Steps

  1. 1Open an applicant record and scroll to Notes.
  2. 2Type a note and choose Add. Your name and the time are attached.
  3. 3After an interview, choose Add scorecard, rate the candidate from 1 to 5 and fill in the strengths and concerns fields.
  4. 4The overall rating shows on the pipeline card so recruiters can spot consensus at a glance.

Notes replace the emails and hallway conversations that never make it back to the record. A hiring manager with a Hiring manager role can read the application and leave notes without being able to change anything else.

Good note habits

  • Write what was said and observed, not conclusions about the person.
  • Stick to job-related criteria so the record is defensible if a decision is questioned.
  • Use scorecards for interviews and notes for everything else; reporting treats them differently.
